So, Today is Mothers Day. It is quite nice outside and everyone is in wonderful spirits. It never fails to amaze me how on certain days of the year people can be so nice to each other. Everyone is buying their charcoal and grills and getting paper plates and sweet tea. It looks like there are alot of BBQ's going on today. Seeing all this prompted me to write this little thing.
Feel the beat, the beat of the drums
the drums of earth and air and water and fire
the drums of life and love
the drums of summer
Move your feet, dance to the rythm
Move your body, Dance to the Beat
Lift your voice to the sky
Sing the song of life and love
the song of summer
Laugh out loud, Love in full view
Put the pedal to the floor
go where youve never gone before
Let go of your worries your cares,
Feel the wind, feel the rain
Watch the lightening dance
soak up the sun, the vitamin D
Dance till you feel free.
Break out the grills
Hit the beach
Fireworks, fireflies, and crickets
singing in the night.
Let your spirit out,
Let your heart be free
Let the energy flow
flow between you and me
Weave flowers in your hair
and go about with your feet bare
swim in the rivers, the lakes, the oceans and streams
pick a backyard baseball team
This is summer,
its finally here
dance the dance
feel the beat
sing the song.
It makes me happy to know and feel all the joys of summer the closer and closer it comes to being in full bloom. I think I am my happiest durring the spring and summer months of the year. I can't wait to hit the beach, and I can't wait till we can afford to have some big BBQ's again. Thats my favorite thing, have all my family and friends over. Cookin some good food, hanging out and just enjoying life. Thats what summer is all about, enjoy the life that has been given you.
